harry potter 6.

Ok, so .. the unbreakable vow.. I guess snape either had to kill dumbledore or die? That makes him seem a little less awful, and then since he had killed dumbledore, of course he would run.

What's up with muggle born wizards hating other muggle-born wizards? Because, seriously, having one or more muggle parent makes you muggle-born, and if you're no less wizard for it, then what can two muggle parents mean, really?

I absolutely hated this book. I felt like crap after I finished reading it. Only two good things came from it:

1. Draco Malfoy may come to the "right" side, which I have wanted for the longest time, and;

2. Since Harry claims that he is not returning to school, the door has been opened for more than one book to follow. Unless J.K.R. has something really tricky up her sleeve, I don't see how she can satisfactorily finish the series without writing many more books. Harry has 4 horcruxes to track down and voldemort to kill; he can't possibly do that in one year.

I think harry's reason for breaking up with ginny was ridiculous. Voldemort had not gone after ginny because she was harry's best-friend's sister; he had simply come across her through the diary and she, like any other living person, had the ability to turn the diary into a fully-living voldemort. But Harry with a girl-friend might get too complicated, for harry, and for the readers, as he plans to go out adventuring, basically. But if the series were only going to continue for one more year, it wouldn't be such a big deal, harry having a girl-friend, for the readers, at least, so that's something else that makes me think there are going to be more books.

My grandpa died in april. I was reminded of it when I read about dumbledore's funeral. For one thing, harry had to listen to someone he'd never even met talk about someone who'd been such an important influence in his life. I went through the same thing at my grandpa's funeral. Also, when the centaurs shot their arrows, I thought that people always feel the need to do something. But ceremonies don't have to be traditions, and they don't have to have any meaning deeper than your feelings.

But snape's character seemed to change so much, and I think it could be blamed on the unbreakable vow, and draco's character changed a lot too, though it may be that he'd never been confronted with such a task before, and he was only playing brave before, if you could even call that brave.

There are a lot of coincidences in the harry potter series, like how harry hid his potions book in the cabinet malfoy was trying to fix. I wonder if it's intended to mean something or just give the readers a sense of continuity, or familiarity with the harry potter universe.
